Unable to return to dock

Quick answers

What is wrong?

Robot cannot find or reach the dock — obstacles near the dock, dock too far, or starting far from the dock (manual Common Issues).

What you might notice

  • Robot ends cleaning away from dock
  • App says cannot find dock
  • Dock moved during clean

Can I fix this myself?

Often yes with careful cleaning. Difficulty: easy · about 10-15 min. If unsure or it returns after parts cleaning, use mail-in repair.

What you need

  • None beyond careful handling

Do this

    • Clear obstacles near the dock and leave the clearances listed in the manual (open floor in front of the dock).
    • Keep the dock on a hard, flat floor against a wall; avoid soft mats that tilt the dock.
    • Keep the dock away from direct sunlight or anything that may block the dock location beacon.
    • If the robot is far away, place it closer to the dock and retry docking.
    • Start cleans from the dock and avoid moving the dock mid-job so auto-return works.

Parts (only if cleaning fails)

  • None for basic DIY
