Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 September 2026
BotRescue (“we”, “us”) operates botrescue.com.au from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our site, diagnosis tools, forms, or related services.
Who we are
Contact: info@botrescue.com.au
What we collect
- Contact & repair forms: name, email, optional phone, brand/model, suburb/area, preferred service mode (Brisbane meetup or mail-in), and the message or fault description you submit.
- Mobile workshop GPS: when the van is broadcasting a public stop, we publish approximate coordinates on the repair-page map so customers can find us. We can turn visibility off when travelling or off-duty. Do not treat the map as a private address.
- Technical data: standard server/CDN logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, pages requested) and, where enabled, analytics events.
- Affiliate clicks: if you use our Amazon AU part links, we may log the search query or product identifier and an optional campaign label for attribution (not your Amazon account).
How we use information
- Reply to enquiries and assess Brisbane meetup or mail-in repair requests
- Show the mobile workshop location on the public map while a stop is broadcast
- Improve diagnosis content, guides, and site performance
- Measure traffic and which pages or campaigns drive interest (including Google Analytics)
- Comply with law and protect against abuse
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use form contents for unrelated marketing lists without your consent.
Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics (gtag) on public pages to understand site usage. Google may set cookies and process data under its own policies. You can control cookies via your browser settings. Admin pages marked noindex do not load Analytics.
Third parties
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and security for this site
- Google Analytics — usage measurement
- Amazon Associates — if you click part links, you leave our site and Amazon’s privacy policy applies to purchases and your Amazon account
Storage & retention
Form submissions are stored in our application database so we can respond and operate the service. We keep them as long as needed for that purpose, then delete or anonymise when no longer required, unless a longer period is needed for legal reasons.
Your choices
You may request access to, or correction or deletion of, personal information we hold about you, subject to Australian privacy law. Email info@botrescue.com.au.
Children
The site is aimed at adults dealing with consumer/commercial robots. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
